I went into John Lewis and asked to buy a Tungsten T3. I said to the sales
advisor I would buy it, if the bluetooth would work with my Nokia 6230. He
got one out and it did pair but would not work while using the SMS
application. We called Palm who said that it does not support the 6230!

How on earth can you buy one of these PDA's if you aren't even sure it will
work as expected when you get home. Palm One do not even offer a list of
compatible phones!

My advice: If you need a PDA buy an all in one, i.e. P900, Treo etc...

How can palm not have released a driver for the 6230? Someone who has
enough cash to buy the latest PDA will also have the latest mobile !!!

Possibly, but the more sensible ones will have waited until Nokia manage to
iron out the numerous bugs in the 6230 firmware. The most shrewd ones will
realise that there really is no need for the bells and whistles of the 6230,
and will stick with their trusty 6310i's (providing they've had the firmware
updated to v5.50 or above so that BT actually works properly).

As for Palm writing a driver for the 6230 - I think it's a bit unrealistic
expecting them to write a driver for every BT capable phone on the market,
especially one as new as the 6230.

Just my 2penneth.
